Kristen J. Breakey received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, her M.B.A. from DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and her B.B.A. in Finance, Investments, & Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She focuses her practice on corporate and transactional law, sports & entertainment law, succession & estate planning, and employment law. Ms. Breakey is licensed to practice in Illinois and Minnesota and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.  

Ms. Breakey primarily represents companies in corporate transactional matters: drafting and negotiating nondisclosure agreements, publishing agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, shareholder agreements, offering documents (primarily for clients' initial financing), operating agreements, promissory notes, letters of intent, purchase agreements, vendor contracts, and other corporate documents relating to corporate clients' sales, mergers, and offerings among other corporate transactions. The clients she works with include corporations and limited liability companies in various industries, including publishing, entertainment, sports, manufacturing, advertising, food, professional services, and financial, as well as not-for-profit organizations.
